Specialist Tinnitus Assessments

Tinnitus can have a significant impact on day-to-day life. Our specialist assessments, with specially trained hearing healthcare professionals, can help you understand and manage it.

Tinnitus Can Affect Every Part of your Day

Tinnitus is often described as ringing, buzzing or humming in the ears but it isn't caused by an outside sound, and only you can hear it. For many people it's a minor irritation, but for others it can affect concentration, sleep and wellbeing.

While there's no single cure, the right combination of understanding, tools and support can dramatically reduce its impact. The first step is a proper assessment with someone who knows how to help.

Tinnitus is very common and rarely a sign of anything serious but a sudden change, or tinnitus in one ear only, should always be checked by a professional.

Alongside your assessment, the BTA provides extensive help and support. Visit tinnitus.org.uk or call their free helpline on 0800 018 0527 for more information and reassurance.

A Thorough, Caring Assessment

We offer tinnitus assessments with specially trained hearing healthcare professionals. We’ll find out more about how your tinnitus presents, and how you currently manage it. We’ll give you a full hearing assessment and check that excessive ear wax isn’t contributing to the problem. We’ll talk about products and tools that may help, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). And we’ll refer you to an ENT specialist if needed.
